Technical Project Consultant


Main Objective and Key Responsibilities:

The Technical Project Consultant should support our premium customer as an expert in Requirement Engineering and Technical Specification in projects for IN & Charging and Business Supporting Systems in the Telecommunication domain. The Technical Project Consultant is responsible for preparation and maintenance of technical documents such as Requirement specifications, Compliance lists, Interface specifications, Ticket specifications, Technical Project/Service Data, Migration concepts etc.

As technical expert he is the interface between the end customer and the project teams (Sales, Development, Test & Integration, Project Management, IT Planning etc), but also 3rd party vendors for any kind of business analyses and technical clarifications.

The Technical Project Consultant "translates" the language of the end customer into the language of SW developers and testers.

Basic Requirements and Competence:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or other related majors from reputable university
  • Expert level understanding of GSM/UMTS networks (#7, IP), services and applications
  • Expert level understanding of Telco Charging and Billing domain, IN, Prepaid and Business Support Systems
  • Technical understanding of charge@once and charge@once select in particular
  • Technical understanding of related subsystems and use cases (Customer Care, VoMS etc)
  • Requirement engineering experience in general and of IN & Charging and BSS in particular
  • Understanding of SW project lifecycles and workflows and roles in Sales and customer projects
  • Adherence to project timelines and budget constraints
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years of GSM/UMTS network experience (e.g. development, system test, system integration, technical assistance (TAC), Sales Solution Management), preferably in the IN & Charging and BSS domain
  • English fluently
